Quilt Market in Kansas City

Well I have made it through my second Quilt Market! We drove all the way through the state of Kansas to Kansas City, Missouri. It was a long drive, some parts a little scary.... but we made it, there and back! A few of the highlights were shopping in downtown Kansas City, meeting Amy Butler and getting our fun Shark backpacks! =]  Here are some pictures!

Random fun things from Market!

New Camera

I got my new lens!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I can't put down my camera. Here are a few shots I have taken with it! The boyfriend is up top, my Mom quilting a black and white quilt I made at work, my other handsome man Bauer, and then my sack of paper piecing pieces!

Reminiscing

Hearing my brother and a few friends complaining about Midterms has me reminiscing about my school days. Soon it will be an entire year since I graduated... yikes. Here are a few of my favorite projects from my senior year. Reminisce with me!

Update: We made homemade calzones and they were delicious. I am making a new paper-piecing project with those gorgeous blues and teals! I went to an Avalanche game and loved this guy's Blackhawks jersey! And I love MJs face, she looks so curious!

Paper Piecing & Birthday Gifts

I have been a paper piecing machine. My Mom and I came up with a fun new quilt design and started working on it the same day! All the wedges are done and ready for backgrounds! I also had a very nice birthday! Todd took me to sushi and an Avalanche game and I received enough money to buy the lens I have been drooling over! It is now on its way! I can't wait! I have also started project 365 - a picture everyday for a year! I will post each month! I have been making some fun things at work too, pictures will be taken after they are quilted (possibly with my new lens =]). I also am obsessed with the green shelves from Ikea! Stay tuned! Cheers!

I'm Back!

Well I have been a busy busy girl. I have sew a few chevrons while drinking some wine, received roses on Valentines Day from the boyfriend, taught a mystery class, made two mystery quilts prior to the class, read all three of the Hunger Games books, had some naps with kit, and started one more quilt!

Sorry I have been MIA! Its been a busy busy few weeks! Yesterday my Mom and I taught our Mystery Class! I will have pictures and instructions up soon! It was a pain in the ass but so pretty! I had kind of a bad week so I am deeming today to be my Lazy Sunday!
